Private equity investors are favoring clean energy over fossil fuel, bucking policy headwinds from the Trump Administration.

According to Bloomberg and Generate Capital, investments in renewables and related infrastructure totaled $134 billion for the first seven months of the year while investment in hydrocarbon-based energy dropped by 25% from last year at $73 billion.
